In support of Perinatal Depression and Anxiety Awareness Week  Melbourne’s Jewish Care have published Miriam & Schneier’s Story, the final video instalment from its  Reach Out, Speak Out campaign.

Looking back, Miriam can see that she had always experienced anxiety, however it wasn’t until postnatal depression set in after the birth of her daughter that she realised she needed support.

With professional help and the support of her husband Schneier, Miriam was able to regain her wellbeing. In this video, she shares her courageous story of speaking out in the religious community in the hopes of helping other people who may be suffering in silence.

The first instalment of Jewish Care’s Reach Out, Speak Out video campaign was launched in September, featuring highlights of interviews with Jewish community members with a lived experience of mental ill health.
