25 ambos headed by the NSW Ambulance Service Commissioner Dominic Murphy cooked and baked for the homeless at Sydney’s Our Big Kitchen and hit the streets to deliver the fruits of their labour.

Joining them in the preparation was the Jewish ambulance chaplain and CEO of OBK Rabbi Dovid Slavin and Rebbetzin Laya Slavin.

Preparing the food

The food they made was distributed to over 100 needy homeless people living around Bondi Beach and the back of Kings Cross.

Commissioner was accompanied by his wife Dominique and daughter Sarah.

The event was organised by Our Big Kitchen. Rabbi Dovid Slavin told J-Wire: “I am one of the ambulance service’s team so it was a wonderful opportunity to meet others and to help others in need.”
