Sydney’s Montefiore’s Randwick campus stepped into Africa at a recent theme night which wowed Residents, staff and guests with a feast of colour and music.

The evening shared the music, culture and cuisine of Africa and African staff members dressed in their traditional dress, singing and dancing for Residents.

With a dining room decked out in the dazzling colours of Africa, with displays of artwork created by the Residents themselves, the feeling was one of being transported to another far off place.

The catering team did an amazing job of creating delicious African delights which went down a treat and the evening was full of fun and laughter. Music is a vibrant element in African life and dancing went on for hours. Even those Residents unable to dance could join in and experience the pulse of Africa by playing drums and percussion instruments.

Montefiore has a busy programme of meaningful activities and cultural events at each of its campuses aimed at enhancing quality of life for Residents.
