AFP awards $35 million contract to Israeli firm
The Australian Federal Police has awarded a $35 million contract to Elbit Systems of Australia Pty Ltd for an advanced information management system.
The company is a subsidiary of the Israeli firm Elbit Systems Ltd based in Haifa.
President and CEO of Elbit Bezhalel [Butzi] Machlis told media: “Australia is a very significant market for Elbit and we are extremely proud to be selected by the AFP to supply these unique capabilities. Considered among the world’s most advanced and modern police forces, the AFP’s selection reflects the quality and maturity of our intelligence and analysis capabilities.”
Machlis said that Elbit is a world leader in providing solutions for law enforcement agencies.
