A delegation from the Australian Football League and members of the Australian media recently visited Israel to meet with the 13-member Israeli and Palestinian team known as the Peace Team, as they prepare for the August 2011 AFL International Cup in Australia, in which 24 countries will compete.

Mud in your eye

The members of the delegation, including Australian footballer and AFL Peace Team Coach Robert “Dipper” DiPierdomenico, AGE journalist Martin Flanagan and FOX sports reporter Tiffany Cherry, took time out of their schedule to relax in the Dead Sea, where they smeared themselves with the famous black Dead Sea mud and floated in the salty waters. And, of course, they all voted for the Dead Sea in the finals of the New7Wonders of Nature online campaign
