Rabbi Yossl Gutnick has watched an  AFL for the very first time and saw his beloved Demons win their first flag since 1964.

Melbourne aka Demons beat Western Bulldogs 140 to 66 at the Optus Stadium in Perth,

Gutnick had been a Melbourne fan since a child, but with religious obligations keeping him from ever attending games on a Friday or Saturday

For 57 years, Rabbi Joseph Gutnick remained a steadfast fan, serving as the club’s president from 1996 to 2001.

Because of COVID, the 2021 Grand Final was moved from the MCC to Perth, where time is two hours before Melbourne and allowing the celebrated entrepreneur to watch the game from Launceston in Tasmania.

He told J-Wire: “I am deliriously happy and joyful together with all fans. Frum Jews in Australia were able to watch for the FIRST TIME the full footy grand final/”
