Tragedy and Triumph, written by Michael Myerson, is a fascinating book about Jewish Olympians over the last 100 years, telling the stories of triumph and tragedy.

The sportsmen and women who would have competed at the ill-fated 1936 Berlin Olympics are included and their lives following that event are described. The book is filled with wonderful anecdotes about the athletes and it show the true sporting prowess of Jewish sporting heroes.

The book canvasses 14 different sports and has been painstakingly researched by the author over many years. This is a book of human stories and to a large extent puts to rest the myth that Jews are not good at sport!

Adam Kellerman, a Paralympian who has achieved great success,  will officially launch the book at the Sydney Jewish Museum on Thurs 30 June at 6pm
