Academy BJE recently held a Leadership Shabbaton for year 11 and 12 high school students at the North Shore Chabad Community Centre.

The students spent the Kabbalat Shabbat with the Kehillat Masada Youth Minyan who also joined them for Shabbat dinner and a Tish. During the Shabbaton students were involved in leadership activities and discussions, where they acquired skills for becoming a successful leader. The Shabbaton was led by BJE-trained madrichim. These educational programs are designed to challenge students to develop their individual leadership qualities. As well as the educational aspect of the Shabbaton, students had plenty of time to interact and socialise with students from many schools across NSW.
