Noel Pearson has sent a message to Australia’s Aborigines….learn from the experiences of the Jewish people.

In a direct attack on Native Title laws, Pearson told the American Bar Association in Sydney today that Australia’s judicial system fails to serve Indigenous Australians.

His speech was broadcast by ABC radio.

He said that the Aboriginal community should learn from the Jewish people who “fight staunchly in defence of the truth”.

He said: “They are a community who have never forgotten history and they never allow anybody else to forget history. They fight relentlessly against discrimination.”

Pearson added that the Jewish people never make their history a burden for the future.
