In a bid to have a balanced audience for its Q&A TV panel program, the Sydney Morning Herald has claimed that th ABC approached the Australian Union of Jewish Students.Liberal Senator Eric Abetz complained to the broadcaster that the studio audiences, who participate in the show, have expressed bias against the Coalition. At a Senate Committee hearing yesterday, Senator Abetz questioned the choice of Jewish students asking if they were being singled out as a hotbed of Liberal support.

But Federal President of AUJS, Daniel Kitay, told J-Wire: ” AUJS is apolitical and no statement has ever been made re the ABC  and Q&A.”
