A successful signing
Sydney’s Rabbi Chaim Ingram has successfully launched his book “Fragments of the Hammer… Discoveries in the Weekly Sidra”.
The function at the Nefesh Shul was attended by almost 200 people.
Rabbi Yehoram Ulman, President of the Rabbinical Council of NSW who spoke of Rabbi Ingram’s singleminded and steadfast dedication to the propagation of authentic Torah values.
Rabbi Pinchas Feldman, Dean of the Yeshiva Center, Bondi, spoke of Rabbi Ingram’s talents and abilities as a teacher and educator as well as a skilled proponent of the written word
Mr. Phillip Segall spoke of Rabbi Ingram’s involvement with the Project SEED adult-education program and that SEED was proud to be associated with the publication of Rabbi Ingram’s book.
Mr. David Adler said that Rabbi Ingram was unafraid to tackle topical “hot potato” like abortion law as he did in a previous eamailed piece. The book, he said, was a singular achievement. and, he said, he felt sure the first of many.
Rabbi Ingram paid tribute to his son Gavriel who had so professionally formatted and typeset the book ready for printing. Also to his wife Judsith for her patience and her support. To Michelle Brenner for her help and encouragment all along the way. And to Ezra Ledoux for the magnificent graphic design of the front cover.
I will make the following comment/correction:
The beauty about “fearless” Rabbi Ingram is precisely his fears and the way he makes them so attractive, highly bearable and necessary ………..
Otherwise, yes, he is a most fearless defender of the Torah !!!
Let us not forget Rabbi Ingram’s brilliant literary style, something he acquired from asiduous study and something else he also acquired from a Higher Generous Source, a sublime singing voice.
Rabbi Ingram’s wisdom and, indeed, courage is the definition of a REAL teacher, a RABBI worth every word and a lot more worth in shekel than the modest price of his excellent book.
I read my copy on the way home from the launch. It took 4.6 Kilometres and only two hours. I also lost 1/2 kilo and now look healthier, soooo trim and taut. That’s another thing Rabbi Ingram does to you…………….
( n.b. I also avoided on the way home the Gelato Bar schtrudels. )
It’s been a long long time since Australia has had such a fearless rabbinical personality as Rabbi Ingram.
Week afte rweek he states true Torah values in his letters to the editor in the “voice of non-(or rather anti-Torah) Jewish News.
Rarely do we see another rabbi openly support him.
Yes, privately every single one of them agrees with his views, but publicly, never. After all it isn’t politically correct to state the Torah’s opinion on homosexuality or any other of the 612 commandments.
Keep it up Rabbi Ingram!
Hashem will reward you for your Kiddush Hashem efforts.
rABBI iNGRAM IS PROBABLY THE MOST FEARLESS tORAH-TRUE RABBI IN aUSTRALIA.
