The parade was held on Sunday on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue in New York and was attended by thousands of marchers from Jewish organisations from North America, Israel and worldwide.  The parade included Israeli Cabinet  Ministers, members of the Knesset and high-ranking US  government officials.

Three weeks ago the Israeli Government passed a decision, on the initiative of the chairman of the World Zionist Organisation Yaakov Hagoel, to commemorate  Jews in the Diaspora who were victims of terror and murdered in hostilities of an anti-Semitic nature outside of Israel.
The parade was an initiative of the World Zionist Organization and the Division for  Commemoration, Family and Heritage at the Israeli Ministry of Defence.
