She told the NSW Parliament that she remembered her first tour of the Sydney Jewish Museum with Eddie and she was “inspired by his personal story, resilience, his ability to forgive his oppressors and his optimism.”

She added: “We were all so lucky to have known Eddie. He will be profoundly missed as a remarkable person who found joy in everything that life offers up.”

The Happiest Man on Earth was the self-proclaimed title and also the worldwide book he wrote and published when he was 100.

Iconic comedian Austen Tayshus aka Sandy Gutman conducted a video interview with Eddie earlier this year.

We rescreen it today.
