Gift of Life gets gift of mobile unit
Gift of Life Australia, an organisation focused on finding matches suitable for bone-marrow transplants has established a mobile unit. The unit will be launched at Sydney’s Jewish Wolper Hospital later this month. Founder of Gift of Life Shula Endrey Walder told J-Wire: “The unit will cover all Australian Jewish communities in the hope that suitable donors can be found for those needing bone marrow and stem cell transplants to save their lives. We will also double up by offering the facility to donate blood.”
Although the tests are being conducted in Australia, those searching for suitable donors include Jews from around the globe. Details of the launch can be found in Up and Coming Events.
