Israel’s Ambassador Mark Sofer was present and the two addresses were delivered yesterday.

Today, he told J-Wire: “The bipartisan expression of deep friendship between Australia and Israel, as expressed in the speeches of PM Scott Morrison and Opposition Leader Bill Shorten was indeed moving and heartfelt. Israel does not take this relationship for granted and will continue to nurture it in the best interests of the peoples of both our countries.

The synergies between us are boundless and we pledge to build on what we have achieved in the years to come.  Israel values this friendship deeply and sincerely, based as it is on shared values and a vision for the future”.
