Wellington Palestinian group’s complaint upheld
Honest Reporting Down Under has reported that the New Zealand Broadcasting Complaints Authority has upheld a complaint lodged by the Wellington Palestine Group against Television NZ for implying that East Jerusalem is part of Israel.
In October while Jews were being stabbed by Palestinian Arabs it was reported that a 70-year-old Jewish woman was stabbed near Damascus Gate in the Old City. Video footage showed the assailant being shot with the caption “Jerusalem” as the Damascus Gate site was seen in the background.
The Wellington Palestine Group protested that this implied that the Old City was actually part of Israel (and its Capital). The Complaints Authority has now upheld their complaint.
This should not come as any surprise because the New Zealand Government also does not recognise either any part of Jerusalem as the Capital of the Jewish State or apparently the legitimacy of the Jewish connection to the Old City which includes the Western Wall and Temple Mount.

When the New Zealand ambassador to Israel presents his credentials to the President of Israel, guess to which Israeli city the ambassador has to ascend.
When a New Zealand notable wants to hold discussions with the Prime Minister of Israel, guess to which Israeli city the NZ notable is obliged to ascend.
When a NZ notable wants to witness in person debates in the Parliament of Israel, guess to which Israeli city he has to ascend.
When a NZ personage wants to be present at hearings in Israel’s High Court of Justice, guess to which Israeli city he has to ascend.
The single answer to all these questions reveals the New Zealand “ruling” for what it is.
