Fifty Rabbinical students from Melbourne and Sydney gathered in the Sydney Yeshiva Centre in Bondi last weekend for their annual conference.

The Conference began with a Chassidic gathering, (known as a “Farbrengen”) which featured speeches, singing, dancing and L’chaims. The farbrengen continued till the small hours of the morning.

Despite their late night, the student rabbis were up early for prayers, followed by lectures from visiting Rabbinic authorities.

The future Rabbis, many of them overseas students, spent Shabbat together inspiring each other with stories of their experiences in Australia and around the Jewish world.

“This was a very energising opportunity for our students to meet with their Melbourne counterparts, exchanging ideas and cultivating friendships.” said Rabbi Pinchus Feldman, Dean and Spiritual Leader of the Yeshiva Centre in Sydney

The Kinnus Hashluchim Conference alternates each year between the cities of Sydney and Melbourne.
