Malcolm’s time-out for the homeless
Liberal MP Malcolm Turnbull took valuable time off campaigning for the Sydney seat of Wentworth to support The Jewish House’s drive to help the homeless.
This week is Homeless Persons Week with the aim being to raise awareness of homelessness and the people it affects. This year the theme is “The Hidden Homeless: 94% of people who are homeless are not on the streets”
In raising awareness about this issue, Jewish House along with Rose Bay Police, held a BBQ lunch at which Acting Superintendent Zoran Dzevlan of Rose Bay Police joined Malcolm Turnbull in offering The Jewish House words of encouragement for their work in helping the homeless.
