$17 million for Jewish primary schools

Jewish schools have received almost $13 million in Government aid announced by Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard yesterday.The funds were part of a $3 billion package to improve primary schools in NSW, VIC,  WA and the ACT announced Gillard who is also the Minister for Education.

Victorian Jewish Schools who received funding under the Primary Schools for the 21st century programme as part of the Building the Education Revolution Scheme.

Yesodei Hatorah College ELWOOD 21st Century Library $850,000

Yeshivah and Beth Rivkah Colleges ST KILDA EAST Multi Purpose Hall $2,000,000

Adass Israel School ELSTERNWICK New Classrooms $500,000

Adass Israel School ELSTERNWICK New Multipurpose Hall $1,500,000

Leibler Yavneh College ELSTERNWICK Multi Purpose Hall $2,500,000

Mount Scopus Memorial College (Gandel-Besen House)ST KILDA EAST New Primary School Building $2,000,000

Sholem Aleichem College ELSTERNWICK Library $850,00

In NSW

Moriah College in Sydney has been granted $2.2m to build six classrooms at the school’s Queen’s Park campus and $800,000 for an early learning centre in Rose Bay. The classrooms will replace six demountable units.

Mount Sinai College MAROUBRA Construction of Multipurpose Hall $2,000,000.00

Masada College- 4 classrooms and amenities 2, 000,000.00
