She’s sizzling hot – meet Luda Kroiter
Odile Faludi recently interviewed ex- Emanuel College student, Luda Kroiter discussing a host of topics. She reports…You always think that everyone on television has so much on-set grooming they really can’t look that good in person. Let me tell you, Luda is gorgeous and for all her male fans, she is simply lovely on the eye!
Luda, aged 30, beams with pride as she discusses the past, present and future. It’s been a great year with her winning the coveted mirror ball trophy with Johnny Ruffo inDancing with the Stars 2012 series. This is the second win for the five-time undefeated World Salsa Champion. After seven years as part of the Dancing with the Stars team, it seems she is ready to steer herself away from the cameras and give other dancers an opportunity to shine. Luda says, “Being part of Dancing with the Stars requires you to be on call 24/7 for four months. After doing nine seasons in seven years I am absolutely exhausted and ready for a change in pace. I made some great friendships and getting to know Kerri-Anne Kennerley was certainly a highlight. She is exactly the same off and on camera and she and her husband, John aged 72, can party harder than anyone else I know.”
Luda is very focussed on her latest business called Zumbalicious located in the Eastern suburbs. Luda runs the classes and has two types on offer. Low impact known as Zumba Gold for beginners and high energy for those who are eager to burn calories and get into shape quickly. Luda also confesses even with all the exercise she does she still strictly watches her diet and has no carbohydrates after midday. She also reduces her sugar intake which she claims is the number one enemy for putting on weight.
Luda says, “The best part of Zumba is that you don’t realise you are exercising. You get wrapped up in the music and it makes you happy! It’s the best all over body work-out from your finger tips to your toes and Sonia Kruger, 47 is also giving it her thumbs up. A few years ago, I did a study on the libido and on the contraceptive pill and the benefits of exercise. Research now indicates that the birth control pill may inhibit more than just pregnancy. The pill may also significantly, and perhaps permanently, dampen your sexual drive.” Luda suggests women exercise to increase their libido. It’s not just about increasing your sex drive, it’s about boosting pleasure in all areas of your life. Exercise is a great way to give yourself a boost as natural chemicals, endorphins are released in the body. These “feel good” chemicals are not only responsible for the natural high you feel after a great workout, but they are also released after sex. Maybe it’s time to skip those boring gym workouts and add some extra fun to your workout by trying an activity like salsa or Zumba.
