A number of sites in the Melbourne suburbs of Balaclava, Caulfield North and Malvern have been listed as Tier 2 exposure sites for COVID-19.

Some of these included sites frequented by members of the Jewish community, including a kosher food outlet. A full list of exposure sites can be found at www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au.

The Jewish Community Council of Victoria (JCCV) is proactively monitoring the situation and is working closely with authorities, including the Department of Health.

The JCCV strongly encourages all members of the Jewish community to check the Coronavirus website and to revisit the website regularly and check for updates. If you have attended an exposure site during an exposure period, then the health advice on the website must be followed.

Daniel Aghion, JCCV President said: “It is critical that all Victorians follow the public health advice. Only leave home for a permitted reason and comply with Government requirements at all times. Get tested immediately and isolate if you display COVID-19 symptoms, and get vaccinated at the earliest opportunity. We can only defeat COVID- 19 if we act together.”
