Rebbetzin Laya Slavin has been named a Local Hero by Westfield Bondi Junction in Sydney.

The award carries a $10,000 prize which will go straight to Our Big Kitchen run by Laya and husband Rabbi Dr Dovid Slavin.
Rabbi Slavin told J-Wire: “The $10K this is much appreciated at a time as OBK is being called on more and more to support those in need who have been affected by COVID-19/
All who know Laya will have no doubt that she is a very worthy recipient of this award, as well as many awards, has won in the past.
