The CEO of The New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies has called on members of the Keep Safe NSW coalition to write to the NSW Opposition Labor leader to protest the omission of J-Wire and The Australian Jewish News in multicultural media awards organised by the Labor Whip Shaoquett Moselane.

Vic Alhadeff has sent the following letter to the community following the story of the omission in The Daily Telegraph.:

Dear Keep NSW Safe coalition partners,

I am writing both as chief executive officer of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and spokesperson for our Keep NSW Safe coalition.

I am asking – encouraging – you to write to NSW Labor leader Luke Foley and general secretary Kaila Murnain to express deep concern at the fact that the Labor parliamentary whip and convener of a newly-launched Labor multicultural organisation has excluded Jewish representatives from events that he chairs (the “multicultural” media awards and the launch of the Labor Multicultural Union Action Committee).

Vic Alhadeff
Chief Executive Officer
NSW Jewish Board of Deputies

It is untenable that someone who has demonstrated open hostility towards a multicultural community could hold those key positions. And speaking out on such matters accords with the raison d’être of Keep NSW Safe.”

Vic Alhadeff told J-Wire: “It would help if members of the Jewish community were to add their voices and I would welcome their adding their concern too.”

J-Wire told the Daily Telegraph that it had no recollection of any invite to the multicultural awards in question and that it did not participate in awards presentations

  1. DAVID SINGER says:

The NSW Labor Party appears to be following in the footsteps of the openly brazen Jew-hatred displayed in the UN Human Rights Council – as emulated by the British Labour Party through its leader Jeremy Corbyn.

NSW Labor party leader Luke Foley needs to deal with Moselane firmly and promptly to prevent the spread of this disease in his own backyard. If Foley allows his party to continue to be tainted by Moselane’s actions – Foley will bear the electoral consequences that must inevitably flow from his inaction.

I hope to see J Wire and the Australian Jewish News receive the same respect and recognition accorded to other ethnic media in NSW.

Outrageous. The fellow’s criticism of Israeli actions vis-a-vis the Palestinians is one thing, but sidelining Jews is blatant antisemitism by any account and should be condemned by right-minded people everywhere.

    • michael kuttner says:

      You are 100% correct, Benseon.

Right minded people will condemn this blatant anti Jewish behaviour but it is the LEFT minded people we should be worried about!!!!
